Writing clear feeding instructions

A good food note sounds like your everyday routine. Here’s how to share the portions, timing and small preferences we should know.

Name the food and the measure

Write down the food your pet normally eats, including the portion for each meal. Tell us how you measure it, whether that is by weight, a scoop or a prepared portion. These ordinary details help us understand the routine you want to discuss.

Describe their mealtime

Let us know when your pet eats and how you normally serve their food. Mention the things they prefer, any recent changes and any questions you would like to talk through. For more than one pet, write a separate note for each companion.

Bring the latest version

Keep your notes together with the food you plan to bring. Read them through before arrival and tell us if anything has changed. We’ll talk with you about their meals and the details that need a little more explanation.

Your next conversation

Tell us about your pet’s routine, share the dates you have in mind and ask us anything about preparing for a stay. We’ll talk through the details together.
